Grilled Salmon Skewers

Salmon Skewers

Soak skewers in water
Prep salmon & remove skin.
Rub with 1-2 teaspoons olive oil, add salt & pepper if you like.
Rub on rosemary
Squeeze lemon juice over the salmon and let it sit for 20 minutes or more.
Prep and cube tomatoes and peppers for skewers.
Cut salmon into cubes
Put salmon and vegetables on skewers, alternate as desired.
Grill or BBQ the skewers rotating often until salmon flakes.

Ideal Protein has 2 pancake packages (Choc chip & Orange), but both are considered restricted products. Meaning that if you have it, you cant have one of the bars or chili or oatmeal as well in the same day.

Pancakes with Ideal Protein Crispy Cereal

IDEAL PROTEIN PANCAKES:
Ingredients:
1 pack IP Crispy Cereal crushed into small pieces.
2 egg whites
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp vanilla
Sprinkle Cinnamon & Nutmeg

Directions:
Beat together in small bowl the following:
2 egg whites
1/4 tsp vanilla

Add in to cereal pkg the following:

Ingredients:
2 cups of cauliflower
2 tsp Rice Vinegar
1 package Truvia or other sweetener
1 Pinch Sea Salt
1 tsp olive oil
Soy Sauce (sugar-free)
Chopped cucumber
Chopped red pepper
Iceberg lettuce
Nori Sheets

New diet 2012

Is there a new diet in 2012? Is this year going to be another painful uphill battle for you fighting your weight and other health or habit issues. Is some new diet or program going to have the answer you are looking for? Probably not (sorry).

As I have read before in blogs on this site and others this battle is 90%+ attitude, biology and history are on our side. People have gone before us losing weight, the parameters are different for everyone but one thing stays the same... It's possible.

Ideal Protein Egg Salad

½ tsp. wasabi or mustard to taste
1 packet splenda
2Tbs caper juice
2Tbs capers
3 eggs
Chopped celery and/or onion
Lettuce

Boil eggs and mix with ingredients, serve as a side or on top of lettuce salad.

Turkey Meatballs and Vegtables

Meat & Veggie Meatballs

1 lb ground turkey
2 Egg Whites
1/4 cup parsley
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp paprika
1 tsp onion powder
1 1/2 tsp minced garlic
3/4 c grated zucchini
3/4 c shredded cauliflower
1/2 c chopped mushrooms or spinach

Mix evenly and create balls. Bake for 18-20 minutes at 425 on a non-stick cookie sheet.

Way back when my wife did weight watchers I learned something useful that I kept for myself. Things you think are somewhat healthy that are actually terrible for losing weight.

Pretzels For some reason I didn't really think of these as being deep fried and covered in salt, they seemed plain and bland enough that they should be healthy... meeeeh wrong.
