Learning what not to eat...
Way back when my wife did weight watchers I learned something useful that I kept for myself. Things you think are somewhat healthy that are actually terrible for losing weight.
Pretzels For some reason I didn't really think of these as being deep fried and covered in salt, they seemed plain and bland enough that they should be healthy... meeeeh wrong.
Bagels If I remember correctly bagels and cream cheese are worse than a cheese burger in weight watchers, perhaps because they are a pound of bread crammed into the shape of a donut smothered with fattening cream cheese.
Subway Perhaps it was all the clever Jared ads but this is something I was slow to realize. Eating cold cut subs was really a terrible idea back in those days.
Yeah, so we are picking on bread tonight. One positive idea we learned from Weight Watchers if you are going to eat a burger is that whole wheat flatbread (it has the little holes/indents in it), believe it or not we found it better than white hamburger buns and it was something like 1/3 of the points.
